Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), H.E. Baghdad Amreyev had a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on the margins of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum on 10 March 2022.
Secretary General and Minister Çavuşoğlu exchanged views on the latest developments in Ukraine as well as its political, economic and humanitarian implications to the OTS Member States and to the region.
Parties further discussed in this regard the refugee flow from Ukraine to the region countries and the possible ways to manage the subject matter.
Secretary General also briefed the Minister on the ongoing undertakings of the OTS Secretariat and shared with him the future steps in developing the interaction among the Member and Observer States.
Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized the increasing activities of the Organization and stressed the necessity of further strengthening the Secretariat’s role in enhancing the cooperation between the Member and Observer States.
Parties further discussed the latest developments in the region and agreed on continuation of consultations on the subject matter.
