Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev had a bilateral meeting with Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan Ruslan Zhaksylykov on 17 June 2022 in Nur-Sultan.
At the meeting, the Secretary General briefed the Minister on the latest developments in the activities of the Organization of Turkic States and the future cooperation perspectives in line with the important decisions taken at the 8th Istanbul Summit held on 12 November 2021.
Minister Zhaksylykov noted the dynamic development and wide coverage of the activities of the Organization of Turkic States and stressed that Kazakhstan would continue its contribution to the efforts of the Secretariat to strengthen the multilateral cooperation within the Organization.
The Parties also exchanged their views on the current political and economic situation in the Eurasian region and shared their vision on the prospects for strengthening and expanding cooperation among the Turkic countries in bilateral and multilateral formats.
