OTS Secretary General H.E. Ambassador  Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan H.E. Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov on 23 January 2023 in Tashkent. 

Highlighting the recent reforms being undertaken within the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Minister Abdurakhmonov briefed about future activities to be carried out by the Ministry . Parties exchanged views on the upcoming events within the OTS, including Youth Innovation and Science Congress, “Teknofest”, as well as programs and projects under the umbrella of Union of Turkic Universities (TÜRKÜNİB).

Secretary General touching upon the ongoing programs and projects carrying out by the OTS, expressed the necessity to strengthen collaboration within the “Orkhun Exchange Program”, ensure close cooperation of all Member and Observer States for the preparation of the Common Turkic Literature, Geography and History books under the OTS and implementation of initiatives voiced by the Heads of State at the Samarkand Summit. 

The Parties exchanged their views on the road map of actions in the field of education and innovations to be prepared by Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Parties also discussed the avenues of deepening of cooperation among Member and Observers in the field of education and science through establishing a set of cooperation actions in line with the instructions of the Heads of State at the Samarkand Summit.
