Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev held a meeting with the Spokesman of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, H.E. İbrahim Kalın in Ankara on 11 September 2019.
B. Amreyev and I. Kalin exchanged views on the ongoing preparations for the 7th Turkic Council Summit, the opening of European Office of the Council as well as the enlargement of the Organization.
Emphasizing on the significant achievements made by the Secretariat during the period following Cholpon-Ata Summit, the Spokesman stated that Turkey highly values the establishment of TCCI and the soon-to-be opened Turkic Council Representation Office in Hungary.
Reiterating the importance of strengthening economic aspect of the cooperation, the Parties discussed economic activities of the Secretariat in this direction and upcoming business events to be arranged in Tashkent and Baku.
The Secretary General underlined the significance of further contributions of Turkey for institutionalizing economic cooperation between the Turkic Council Member States.
The Spokesman of the Presidency of Turkey reassured the Secretary General that Turkey will continue supporting all the necessary steps to be taken for widening and deepening cooperation among the Turkic States.
Deputy Secretary General, Dr. Ömer Kocaman accompanied the Secretary General on his visit to Ankara.
