As part of his visit to Hungary, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with H.E. Sándor Lezsák, the Vice Speaker the Hungarian National Assembly and Head of Central Asian Friendship Group, in Budapest on 15 May 2024.
Vice Speaker Lezsák congratulated the Secretary General Omuraliev for the successful meeting he had with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary a day ago and signing a key document to enhance cooperation between the OTS and the EU during Hungary’s Presidency. Parties discussed ways to enhance Parliamentary cooperation between the OTS and the Hungarian National Assembly, as well as talked about the planned activities of the OTS to be held in Hungary in upcoming period.
Furthermore, Secretary General thanked the active role the Lakitelek College under the personal commitment of Mr. Sándor Lezsák is playing in bringing closer the friendship between Turkic people and Hungary. Both sides stressed the importance of continuing the successful implementation of friendly cooperation.
