Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States H.E. Baghdad Amreyev was received by President of the Republic of Uzbekistan H.E. Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the margins of the Summit of Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) held on 13 October 2022 in Astana.
Secretary General briefed the President on the preparations and agenda of the upcoming OTS Summit to be held in Uzbekistan on 11 November 2022.
The President Shafkat Mirziyoyev noted with satisfaction the intensification of dialogue and the expansion of multifaceted cooperation within the OTS which has emerged as a very important platform in the regional and international arena.
Discussing a number of ministerial meetings and other events in the field of economy, transport, IT, tourism and cultural exchanges scheduled on the eve of the Summit, Secretary General Amreyev and President Mirziyoyev emphasized that the forthcoming Summit would be a unique occasion for the Organization and would mark a great step forward towards further strengthening multifaceted cooperation among the Turkic States.
The Secretary General and the President also exchanged views on a number of pressing issues of the regional and global agendas.
