Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov paid a courtesy visit to Ambassador Michael Christides, Secretary General of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), on 22 June 2017.
During the meeting, Secretary General Hasanov gave detailed information to his counterpart about the activities and projects carried out by Turkic Council and addressed concrete developments especially in the fields of economy, transport, tourism as well as youth and sports. Secretary General Hasanov also congratulated Ambassador Michael Christides on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the BSEC Organization. First Deputy Secretary General of BSEC, Former Ambassador Tahsin Burcuoğlu was also present during the meeting.
Secretary General Hasanov expressed his opnions to Ambassador Michael Christides regarding the possible cooperation areas of mutual interest between the Turkic Council and the BSEC Organization and submitted a draft of the Memorandum of Understanding prepared by the Turkic Council to be the ground for the cooperation between the two organizations.
Ambassador Michael Christides conveyed his thanks to Secretary General Hasanov for his kind visit and gave information on the activities of BSEC. Ambassador Michael Christides also expressed their gratitude and eagerness to cooperate with the Turkic Council.
At the end of the meeting, Secretary General Hasanov presented 2016 Annual Report and the map of the Turkic Council as well as a plaque in memory of this day.
Turkic Council Project Directors Ali Çiviler and Farid Damirli accompanied Secretary General Hasanov during the meeting.
