Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov participated at the 3rd Forum on Intercultural Dialogue on 18 May 2015 in Baku.
The World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue was initiated in 2008. Two previous meetings were held in 2011 and in 2013. It has become a global platform for exchange and discussion on major contemporary challenges pertaining to intercultural dialogue and the sharing of related universal values, which have become pressing issues to address in our globalized and more and more diverse societies.
The Forum was opened by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan H.E. Ilham Aliyev on 18 May 2015. In his speech President Aliyev emphasized on the importance of intercultural dialogue, presenting Azerbaijan as a good example where multiculturalism concept is applied.
The opening ceremony of the Forum was also attended by the project directors of the Turkic Council and delegations of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
