Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov participated in the special session of the23rd World Energy Congress organized under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey on 10 October 2016 at Istanbul Congress Center.

At the special session where Secretary General Hasanov was among the audience, H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey and H.E. Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation as well as H.E. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Mustafa Akıncı, President of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), H.E. Nicolas Maduro President of Venezuela, H.E. Binali Yıldırım, Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey and H.E. Berat Albayrak, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey addressed to the participants. The special session was followed by the Ministers from various countries, Chairmen of International Organizations, Diplomats and participants of the Congress including the President of the World Energy Congress Mr. Younghoon David Kim.

The Congress which will take place between 9-13 October 2016 is considered to be world’s one of the most important energy summits, attended by more than 10 thousand participants, 265 speakers from 82 countries including the Heads of States and Governments and Chairmen of the International Organizations.

The Secretary General Hasanov was accompanied by the Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul at the special session.
