Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov, who is in Baku in the context of 4th Global Baku Forum, visited Mr. Elmar Mammadyarov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 11 March 2016 in his office.

Secretary General gave Minister Mammadyarov information regarding the current position of the activities of the Turkic Council, about the preparations of the upcoming 6th Summit and the Council of Ministers meeting of the Turkic Council due to take place in Kyrgyz Republic as well as presented the Turkic Council 2015 activity report.

Minister Mammadyarov indicated that they follow the activities of the Turkic Council very closely and expressed their happiness for its successful works. He also said that it would be beneficial for the preparations of the upcoming Summit to hold the unofficial meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Turkic Council, as it became traditional, in the framework of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. He also expressed continuous support of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the activities of the Turkic Council.

At the end of the meeting, Secretary General Hasanov congratulated Newroz feast of Minister Mammadyarov and conveyed his thanks the support provided by the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Turkic Council.
