Secretary General of the Turkic Council H.E.Baghdad Amreyev attended the 26th OSCE Ministerial Council held on 5-6 December 2019 in Bratislava as a special guest of the OSCE Slovak Chairmanship.
Ministers of foreign affairs and Delegations of the 57 OSCE Participating States and 11 Partners for Co-operation as well as representatives of international organizations attended the Ministerial Council meeting where the crisis in and around Ukraine, peaceful resolution of the protracted conflicts on the territories of Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Republic of Azerbaijan, security of the Mediterranean region and effective multilateralism were at the forefront of the issues highlighted by the Ministers.
States must do more to work together through effective multilateralism to support the resolution and prevention of conflict, and build a safer future for all people, said OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Slovakia's Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Miroslav Lajčák in his opening address.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Elmar Mammadyarov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Chingiz Aidarbekov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Roman Vassilenko and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Dilshod Akhatov respectively have addressed the audience regarding the OSCE agenda.
Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Elmar Mammadyarov, in his capacity representing the current Chairman-in-Office of the Turkic Council in his speech emphasized that the active participation of the Turkic Council as a comprehensive regional cooperation mechanism in the work of the OSCE will contribute to the attainment of the common goals shared by the two organizations.

Parties discussed the main topics of the Turkic Council’s Agenda and exchanged views on future cooperation of the Organization with international and regional partners.
