Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev visited the Headquarters of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) in Ankara on 18 August 2020.
During the meeting with the Secretary General of TURKSOY Dusen Kasseinov they exchanged views on the ongoing cooperation efforts in the Turkic World and discussed the respective programs of the Turkic Council and TURKSOY in the forthcoming period.
The joint activities in the framework of “Khiva, the ancient city of Uzbekistan - the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World in 2020” as well as the “Year of Abay Kunanbay in commemoration of the 175th anniversary of the birthday of the famous Kazak intellectual, were touched upon at the meeting.
Parties also discussed the details of the agenda of the upcoming meeting of the Coordination Committee of the Turkic Cooperation Organizations that will convene with the participation of Turkic Council’s Affiliated and related Organizations; namely TURKSOY, Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries (TURKPA), Turkic Academy and Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation under the chairmanship of the Secretary General of the Turkic Council.
