On the occasion of the first official visit of President of Kyrgyz Republic, H. E. Sadyr Zhaparov to Turkey, Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev took part in the Turkish-Kyrgyz Business Forum held in Ankara on June 10, 2021, with the participation of the President of Kyrgyzstan.
The Business Forum was organized at the premises of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and hosted by the President of TOBB Mr. Rifat Hisarcikoglu and attended by the Members of the Government of Kyrgyzstan, as well as prominent businessmen of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
In his address, President H. E. Sadyr Zhaparov talked about the measures taken by him as the newly elected President to significantly improve the investment climate of the country, protect foreign investments and other measures that should facilitate the work of foreign investors in Kyrgyzstan.
TOBB President Rifat Hisarciklioglu in his speech noted the high potential of Kyrgyzstan to attract foreign investors and expressed the intention of Turkish entrepreneurs to increase business activities in Kyrgyz Republic.
President Sadyr Zhaparov, Secretary General Baghdat Amreyev and President of TOBB Rifat Hisarciklioglu held on the margins of the Business Forum a working meeting where they agreed on holding a large scale business forum on August 9, 2021 in Issyk-Kul, that will be organized by the Turkic Council, TOBB and TCCI (Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry).
Within the framework of the forum, Secretary General also met with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers-Minister of Economy and Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic H. E. Akylbek Zhaparov.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on holding the upcoming business forum in Issyk-Kul, ongoing efforts on the establishment of the Turkic Investment Fund, attracting foreign investment from the Turkic countries to Kyrgyzstan, and other issues.
On the margins of the visit of the Kyrgyz President to Ankara, B. Amreyev also met with the Minister of Investments of the Kyrgyz Republic, H.E. Almambet Shykmamatov. The parties exchanged views on the ongoing economic collaboration between Turkic Council Member States and ways for enhancing multilateral cooperation, as well as attracting further investments to Kyrgyzstan from Turkic Council Member States.
