Secretary General of the Turkic Council, Baghdad Amreyev held a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Shahin Mustafayev on 8 September 2020 in Baku.
Secretary General briefed the Deputy Prime Minister on the efforts of the Organization concentrated to eliminate the negative repercussions of the pandemic in priority areas such as health, trade & economy and transport. Deputy Prime Minister praised the concrete results acquired by the Member and Observer States of the Turkic Council in a very short period of time, proving the Organization’s capacity of prompt response to such hardships and also commended the coordination efforts of the Secretariat in this process.
Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary General discussed in detail further steps for enhancing economic cooperation among the Member States and exchanged views on the issues of the high agenda of the Organization, particularly preparations for the next Summit, establishment process of the Turkic Investment Fund and efforts towards defining a common strategy in a way to ensure closer cooperation and deeper integration in the Turkic World.
