Upon the invitation of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev participated in the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President of the Kyrgyz Republic, H.E. Sadyr Zhaparov in Bishkek on January 28.
The ceremony was attended by heads of a number of international organizations, former presidents and former speakers of the parliament of the country, foreign ambassadors accredited to Kyrgyzstan, as well as public figures and intellectuals.
In his inaugural speech, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, H.E. Sadyr Zhaparov said that his main task is to contribute to Kyrgyzstan becoming an economically developed, dynamic, strong and free country, where human rights and the rule of law are respected, and young people are optimistic about the future.
President S. Zhaparov noted that the economic development in the country should be carried out together with the spiritual enrichment of the people. He added that Kyrgyzstan, in this new period, must become a country of free and prosperous citizens, who are proud of their history and could realize their dreams.
S. Zhaparov emphasized that the country's economic development, cultural revival and stability are only possible, if the Kyrgyz government maintains good-neighborly and friendly relations with the countries that traditionally enjoy close ties with Kyrgyzstan.
The President specified Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, with whom Kyrgyzstan shares a common history and fate, as strategic partners in the new foreign policy priorities, and in the same framework highlighted the importance of maintaining close relations with Turkey.
President Zhaparov noted the significance of the relations with Russia that, having expressed particular concern regarding the recent events taken place in the country, provided support to Kyrgyzstan.
The President also assured that Kyrgyzstan will continue its active part within international organizations, giving a special emphasis on the cooperation among Turkic States in the framework of the Turkic Council.
Following the inauguration ceremony, the President met with the heads of international organizations.

Given the first floor for the congratulatory speech, the Secretary General Amreyev expressed his confidence that H.E. S. Zhaparov would lead important political, economic and social changes in Kyrgyzstan and lead the country to a brighter and more prosperous future.
Secretary General noted that during his visit to Bishkek after the events that took place in October 2020, he met with H.E. S. Zhaparov and conveyed the full support of the Turkic world and the Turkic countries to Kyrgyzstan.
Stressing its special place in the Turkic world, Secretary General Amreyev expressed his confidence that the brotherly Kyrgyzstan would continue to deepen cooperation with the Turkic States.
B Amreyev informed that the Informal Summit of the Heads of States of the Turkic Council is scheduled for March 24 this year. Secretary General said that the Turkic Council would be honored to welcome the participation of H.E. S. Zhaparov in the Summit at the very beginning of his tenure as the new President of Kyrgyzstan.
