Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Mr. Ruslan Kazakbayev on 28 January 2021 in Bishkek.
During the meeting that took place following the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President of Kyrgyzstan, Secretary General and Foreign Minister exchanged views on a wide range of issues that are on the current agenda of the Organization as well as pressing topics of international and regional agenda.
Parties discussed the preparations of the upcoming important events, including Summits of the Heads of States. A special emphasis was given to the implementation of economic agenda of the Organization, including the establishment of financial institutions of the Turkic Council.
Foreign Minister and Secretary General touched upon the future strategy of cooperation among the Turkic Council Member States.
Parties discussed the initiatives undertaken by the Secretariat together with the WHO Regional Office in Europe with a view to further assist Member and Observer States in adequately responding to the challenges of coronavirus pandemic.
Foreign Minister R. Kazakbayev highly appreciated the multifaceted activities of the Turkic Council to strengthen brotherhood and unity between the Turkic-speaking States and reiterated the contentedness of the Kyrgyz government for the comprehensive and effective support extended to the country by the Turkic Council.
R. Kazakbaev assured that Kyrgyzstan would maintain its active support for the efforts of the Secretariat to develop multilateral cooperation within the Organization.
Parties agreed on the continuation of undertakings that would further development; deepen collaboration, as well as expand joint efforts and mutual support among the Members States.
