The 15th Working Group Meeting on Economic Cooperation was held prior to the 13th Meeting of Ministers in charge of Economy and Trade of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) on 17 October 2024 in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. The session brought together senior officials and experts from OTS Member and Observer States to review key economic and trade initiatives.
The Working Group focused on finalizing preparatory documents for the ministerial meeting, including discussions on the “Digital Economy Partnership Agreement,” trade in services, investment facilitation, the establishment of the Turkic Green Finance Council, establishment of the Council of Central (National) Banks among the OTS Member States and “Turan” Special Economic Zone. The experts also reviewed progress on the development of the “Turan” Special Economic Zone and other projects aimed at enhancing economic integration across the Turkic World. Their recommendations were submitted for consideration by the Ministers the following day.
