The 1st Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Justice of the Organization of Turkic States was held on 9 September 2024 in Astana, Kazakhstan
Minister of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan H.E. Farid Ahmadov, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Azamat Yeskarayev, Minister of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Ayaz Baetov, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Türkiye H.E. Yılmaz Tunç, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan H.E. Akbar Tashkulov, as well as Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States H.E.Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev participated at the Meeting.
The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States delivered a speech at the Meeting and mentioned that as a new platform, the 1st Meeting of the Ministers of Justice of the OTS will further enhance and strengthen the cooperation in the field of judiciary.
The Participants presented information about the legal system of their countries, as well as bilateral cooperation with the OTS countries and stressed the importance of the cooperation among the Ministries of Justice within the framework the OTS.
The Ministers signed the Astana Declaration of the 1st Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Justice of the OTS. It was decided to convene the next – 2nd Meeting of the Council in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2025.
