On 29 April 2025 H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), delivered a keynote speech at the 2nd Meeting of the Heads of Competition Authorities of the OTS, which was hosted by Hungarian Competition Authority in Budapest. 

In his address, Ambassador Omuraliev emphasized the significant role of fair competition in driving sustainable economic growth and regional integration among the Turkic States. He highlighted the importance of the transparent and competitive business environment that fosters innovation, attracts investment, and ensures equal opportunities for businesses. Stressing the need for collaboration, he called on OTS countries to harmonize competition policies and strengthen enforcement to combat anti-competitive practices that hinder economic progress and regional stability.

The meeting served as a platform to exchange experiences, share best practices, and explore collaborative strategies to promote fair competition and economic growth across the Turkic States. Participants emphasized the importance of fostering a competitive business environment to enhance regional trade and investment opportunities.
As an outcome of the event, the Communiqué of the 2nd Meeting of the Heads of Competition Authorities of the OTS was signed by the sides.
