During the meeting, moderated by Turkic Council Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman, the representatives coming from the Ministries of Education of the Member States discussed the recent developments and the ongoing projects in the field of education.

Pursuant to the instructions given at the Summit of the Heads of State of the Turkic Council in 2015, the Joint Turkic History Textbook, one of the concrete projects of the Council carried out in the field of education, which is prepared by the International Turkic Academy with the contributions of the Member States and which is in the final stage of realization, was discussed at length at the meeting. Likewise, the preparations of the Joint Turkic Geography Textbook and the Exchange Program for Experts in the field and their prospective launch were among other issues of the agenda.

The realization of the Second Exchange Program for Secondary and High School Students, the first of which was hosted by Turkey in 2016, and the Orkhun Process concerning the Exchange of Lectures and Students of the Turkic Council Turkic University Union planned to start in the 2017-2018 academic year as a pilot project were also included in the agenda of the meeting.

Project Directors Zhyldyz Uzakova, Jeyhun Shahverdiyev and Pelin Musabay Baki also took part in the meeting.
