Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev received at the Headquarters of the Organization of Turkic States the delegation of Azerbaijani Elders.
Delegation was headed by the Chairman of the Council of Elders of Azerbaijan, H.E. Eldar Guliyev on 13 December, 2021. Delegation included deputies of the Chairman, members of the Azerbaijan Parliament Agalar Valiyev, Eldar Ibrahimov and Ahliman Amiraslanov.
The Secretary General welcomed the delegation and thanked them for the visit and shared with them the ongoing cooperation activities among the Member and Observer States within the framework of the Organization in various fields, particularly in economy, trade and transport including the future perspectives and plans in these areas.
B. Amreyev also referred to the intensive agenda of the Istanbul Summit that took place last month and highlighted its consequences as constituting an important turning point for the Organization, leveling up the cooperation to a higher level and transforming the relations to a new format within the Turkic World.
Members of the delegation thanked the Secretary General for the warm welcome and underlined the achievement of the Istanbul Summit, where important decisions were taken by the Heads of State. They also emphasized the growing worldwide role and international prestige of the Organization. Members of the delegation expressed their appreciation for the strong support given by the Turkic States to Azerbaijan, during its 44-Days Patriotic War.
Parties also exchanged views on different topics of common interest.
