The delegation of the Turkic Council headed by the Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman took part in the first day of the International Cooperation Platform’s 6th Bosphorus Summit.
The 6th Bosphorus Summit is taking place at Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul on 9-11 December 2015 with the main theme of “Eradicating Poverty and Growing Prosperity at the Grassroots Level”.
Among the honorary participants of the summit were the Minister of Development of Turkey, CevdetYılmaz, the Chairman of the Board of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies Prince Turki Al Faisal Al Saud, the Former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy and Industry of Qatar Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Rifat Hisarcıkoğlu, the President of the Turkic Exporters Assembly Mehmet Büyükekşi, the Chairman and Executive Board Member of Akbank Suzan Sabancı Dinçer, and the UN Assistant Secretary-General of the UNDP Director of the Regional Bureau for Europe and the CIS (RBEC) Cihan Sultanoğlu.
On the first day the high-level panel discussion brought together representatives from the ministries, private sector, international organizations and academia who discussed various topics such as Eradicating Poverty, Increasing Prosperity at the Grassroots Level and Sustainable Development Goals, Recent Developments at Global Commodity Prices and Export Goals.
The Project Directors Ali Çiviler and Farid Damirli accompanied the Deputy Secretary General at the said event.
