The delegation of the Turkic Council participated in the "Turkey again: Alumni Homecoming" program organized by the Presidency of Turks Abroad and Related Communities under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey on 25 November 2017.
The Presidency of Turks Abroad and Related Communities organized a program entitled "Turkey again: Alumni Homecoming" in Istanbul on 25 November 2017 in order to bring together graduates who studied in various universities in Turkey and returned to their countries after graduation.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Binali Yıldırım addressed to the participants at the opening of the meeting.
Prime Minister Yıldırım referred to the fact that in recent years Turkey offers educational opportunities in the field of higher education to students from all over the world through Turkey`s "Turkey Scholarships" program and that thousands of students graduate each year from the universities in Turkey with bachelor`s, master`s and doctoral degrees, after they return they contribute to the development of their societies and thus establish bridges of friendship between our countries.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Hakan Çavuşoğlu also participated in the meeting and delivered a speech. In addition to the graduates from various countries who studied in universities in Turkey, high level bureaucrats, representatives of foreign missions, representatives of non-governmental organizations, businessmen, academicians and members of the press participated in the meeting.
Advisor of the Secretary General, Reşad Gasımov and Project Director Asan Mazhitov, represented the Turkic Council at the meeting and had meetings with many participants of the program and provided information on the activities of the Turkic Council in the fields of education, youth and sports.
