The Fifth Meeting of the Working Group on Cooperation in Media and Information Sphere was held on 10-11 March 2016 in Istanbul. Representatives of the National TV Channels, Official News Agencies and other relevant authorities of the Member States participted in the meeting.
The Meeting was moderated by the Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Abzal Saparbekuly. Project Directors of the Turkic Council Yedil Myrzakhanov, Mehmet Şefik Yurtçiçek, Zamin Aliyev, Zhuldyz Uzakova were in charge of its coordination.
At the meeting the issues of using the existing technical resources/potentials of the National TV-channels and Official News Agencies of the Member States to distribute the information on cooperation within the Turkic Council were discussed. Furthermore, the Anadolu Agency made a presentation on the “Turkic News Package” project. Also arranging vocational training and expert exchange programs was discussed.
