Turkic Council Project Directors Özge Pan and Farrukh Jumayev made presentations on the structure, aims and objectives of the Turkic Council, as well as its activities and projects to the group consisting of master students at the African, Middle Eastern, European and Russian Studies of the Global Research Institute of the University of Geneva .
Turkic Council promotional film, the short film including the achievements in the Field of Youth and Sports, and the promotional film of the Turkic Council Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package were shown to the students.
Ambassador Halil Akıncı, the Founding Secretary General of the Turkic Council, attended the meeting as special guest. Ambassador Akıncı informed the young students about the historical and intellectual preparation process of the establishment of the Turkic Council, which he was personally involved in. He emphasized the importance of common language, unifying role of history and culture in international relations, touched upon important historical turning points of the Turkic speaking States and answered questions of the students.
At the end of the visit, a group photo was taken and printed materials were presented to the students.
