The Head of the Turkic Council International Election Observer Mission Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov shared the outcomes of the Mission on the Presidential Elections of Kyrgyz Republic during the press conference on 16 October 2017 in Bishkek at Orion Hotel.
Upon invitation of the Kyrgyz Republic to monitor the Presidential Election of Kyrgyzstan, Turkic Council International Election Observer Mission executed its activities on 13-15 October 2017.
The Mission, which is composed of the Turkic Council Secretariat staff members, representatives of the Member States other than Kyrgyzstan as well as a representative from the Turkic Academy performed its election observer activities in Bishkek and Osh.
Secretary General Hasanov evaluated the election process and shared the mission’s findings with respect to the pre-election process and the Election Day. The report that will be prepared by the Secretariat based on the findings of the Mission will be conveyed to the Member States as well as some relevant international organizations.
At the press conference, which was attended by a number of national and international media outlets, Secretary General expressed his wish that the election results would bring more peace, stability and prosperity to the Kyrgyz Republic and the brotherly people of Kyrgyzstan. He also emphasized the expectation of the continuation of the Kyrgyz Republic`s strong affiliation and partnership with the Turkic Speaking countries and the Turkic Council.
Secretary General Hasanov also gave interviews to Kyrgyz State Television and Anadolu Agency apart from the press conference.
Turkic Council Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman, Project Directors Assan Mazhitov, Ali Çiviler, Zhyldyz Uzakova, Farid Damirli, Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul, Deputy Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs Araz Salmanov, Research Expert Dastan Almen, Coordinator at the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities Fatih Doğan, Research Assistant from Social Sciences University of Ankara Ömer Naim Küçük accompanied the Secretary General Hasanov during the press conference.
