Hosted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan H.E. Elmar Mammadyarov, the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council) was held on 14 October 2019 in Baku, within the framework of the 7th Summit of the Turkic Council coinciding with the 10th anniversary of Nakhchivan Agreement which established the Turkic Council.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Mukhtar Tileuberdi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E Chingiz Aidarbekov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan H.E. Abdulaziz Kamilov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade of Hungary H.E. Péter Szijjártó and the Turkic Council Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev. Azerbaijani Member of the Council of Elders Mr. Fettah Heydarov, the Heads of Turkic Cooperation Organizations, TURKPA, TURKSOY, Turkic Academy and Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation also took part in the CFM meeting.
Foreign Ministers discussed the agenda and the program of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State, reviewed the decisions to be signed by CHS as well as the Joint Summit Declaration and exchanged views on the issues of multilateral cooperation among the Member States in the political, economic and cultural areas.
