The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Jeyhun Bayramov and the Secretary General of the Turkic Council H.E. Baghdad Amreyev held a telephone conversation today on 30 September 2020.
Minister Bayramov expressed his gratitude for the support and objective position of the Turkic Council on the new act of aggression by the armed forces of Armenia against Azerbaijan.
Minister Bayramov stressed that all the responsibility for this tension in the region lies with the ongoing provocative policy of Armenia, which purposefully targeted Azerbaijani civilians and facilities.
The Secretary General in his turn said that the Turkic World with deep concern follows the developments in the conflict zone and reiterated the support of Turkic Council for the early settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, on the basis of sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of internationally recognized borders of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Minister Bayramov and Secretary General Amreyev also exchanged views on the important topics of the Turkic Council agenda.
