H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, held a meeting with H.E. Viktor Makhmudov, Secretary of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 19 October 2023 in Tashkent.
During the meeting, the Secretary General and the Secretary of the Security Council discussed issues of strengthening and expanding cooperation between Member and Observer States in the field of regional and international security.
Ambassador Omuraliev expressed gratitude to Viktor Makhmudov for preparing a rich program for the 2nd Meeting of the Heads of the OTS National Security Councils in Tashkent, which is to be organized under the auspicies by H.E. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, the Secretary General and the Secretary of the Security Council also exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between the Turkic countries, incl. regional security, ensuring territorial integrity, migration crises, preventing extremism and combating terrorism, etc.
