An official meeting between Secretary General of the Turkic Council, Ambassador Baghdad Amreyev and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, H.E. Askar Mamin was held on 18 September 2018 in Astana.
First Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Askar Mamin congratulated Secretary General Amreyev with the appointment and wished success in his new post. H.E. Mamin expressed the role of Turkic Council in strengthening the relations between the Turkic Council Member States through boosting cooperation in various sectors of the economy, notably trade, transport, investments, energy, and tourism. He emphasized the necessity to use the full potential of each country within the Turkic Council.
First Deputy Prime Minister expressed support of the Republic of Kazakhstan and its readiness to contribute all proposals of Secretariat aimed at improving the effectiveness of the Turkic Council, its involvement to the realization of regional projects, as well as the structural reforming of organization adopted during last Summit.
Secretary General Amreyev informed the First Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Askar Mamin on the latest activities and projects being pursued by the Secretariat. He emphasized that promoting the trade and economic cooperation among the Turkic Council Member States is one of the most important priorities for the Organization. He highlighted the huge potential between the Turkic Council Member States in different areas including trade, tourism, transport, ICT and education.
Ambassador Amreyev informed that Turkic Council regularly brings together members of the private sector of the Member States by organizing technical visits for investors/businessmen, Business Forums and meetings of Turkic Business Council, Round Tables for the Businessmen with the aim of further strengthening economic ties among its members.
Secretary General expressed gratitude to the Government of Kazakhstan for supporting the activities of the Turkic Council, adding that it plays an essential role in successful implementation of the initiatives and events of the organization that are planned to be held during the second part of this year in Kazakhstan.
Project Directors Zhanar Nugumanova and Farrukh Jumayev accompanied the Secretary General Amreyev at the meeting.
