The Third Turkic Council Business Forum was convened on 24 October 2014, in Nakhchivan at the “Nakhchivan Business Centre”.
More than 100 businessmen from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey representing various sectors participated at the Forum.
Forum was opened by the addresses of Mr. Vasif Talibov, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Mr. Ramil Hasanov, Secretary General of the Turkic Council, Mr. Sahib Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), Mr. Abdulla Kundakbayev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Chamber of International Commerce of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Marat Sharshekeev, President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and Mr. Gengiz Gul, Head of Turkish-Azerbaijan Business Council.
Mr. Marat Sharshekeev, President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic presented a gift to Secretary General Ramil Hasanov at the opening ceremony of the Forum.
After the inaugural session, representatives of the Member States gave presentations on foreign investment and improvement of the investment climate in their countries. Following the official part business to business meetings were convened.
Parallel to the B2B meetings, the Third meeting of the Turkic Business Council, which was established at the First Summit of the Turkic Council held in Almaty, in October 2011, has started.
