The Turkic Council delegation attended the International Tourism Fair in Spain (FITUR) on 17-21 January 2018 in Madrid to promote the Turkic Council Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package.
Within the scope of the agreement reached with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, the stand of the Turkic Council Joint Tour Package stood on the site reserved for the promotion of Turkey. The video presentation of the Joint Tour Package was shown on a giant screen of Turkey’s stand. The said package involved the big interest of visitors who came to the fair, which attracted the participation of more than 10,000 companies from 165 countries/regions.
The Turkic Council delegation also held bilateral talks with participating tour operators from China, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, France, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Russia, Georgia, and Uzbekistan. In addition to this, the delegation also visited the stands of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan and informed the participants from these member states about the developments of the Joint Tour Package.
The sales of the Joint Tour Package, the first round of which will be held on 15 March 2018, will begin shortly at http://www.modernsilkroadtour.com/ .
Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman, Project Directors Pelin Musabay Baki and Ceyhun Şahverdiyev, and translator Ülker Aliyeva were present in the delegation.
