Turkic Council participated virtually in the “9th Ministerial Conference of the Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process” which was held with the theme “Strengthening Consensus for Peace and Development” on 30 March 2021, in Dushanbe.
Turkic Council took place at the Conference as an international organization upon the invitation extended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Sirojiddin Muhriddin and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, H.E. Mohammad Haneef Atmar.
During the conference, on behalf of the Turkic Council, Deputy Secretary General Gismat Gozalov made a statement which underlines the continuous support of the Turkic Council in the efforts to achieve sustainable peace, stability and prosperity in Afghanistan. Deputy Secretary General Gozalov further expressed the readiness of the Turkic Council to establish special relations with Afghanistan.
