Turkic Council Delegation headed by Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Dr. Ömer Kocaman has participated and addressed the 33rd meeting of the Permanent Council of Ministers of Culture of TURKSOY held on 26 November 2015 in Merv city of Turkmenistan.
In the framework of the said event H.E. Gurbaguly Berdimukhammedov President of Turkmenistan has accepted the heads of delegations on 27 November 2015 in Ashgabad.
Moreover, the concert in honour of closure of Merv, Turkmenistan, as Capital of the Turkic Culture of 2015 was held with participation of the folklore musicians of the Turkic World on 27 November 2015 in Merv.
Furthermore, the delegation took part in the official closing ceremony of Merv, Turkmenistan, as the Capital of the Turkic Culture held on 28 November in Merv. In addition, Sheki , Azerbaijan, was announced as Capital of Turkic Culture in 2016.
