Turkic Council International Observer Mission continued to monitor Presidential Elections in the city of Osh.
Upon the invitation of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, Turkic Council International Observer Mission headed by Ambassador Ramil Hasanov, Secretary General of the Turkic Council, continued to monitor Presidential Elections on 15 October 2017 in the city of Osh.

The delegation attended the opening of the ballot box, which started at 8:00 AM. Divided into two groups, the mission visited 21 polling stations at various districts of Osh in total.

Throughout the day, the groups visiting polling station in Osh at random, observed the electoral process in general.

High rate of participation by the youth and elders, confidence in the electorate, non-existence of serious technical disorders of the automated electoral system, order and peaceful atmosphere at polling stations, existence of local and international observers together with NGOs` representatives and assistance by the elections officials to the needy were among the notable features of the monitoring by the mission.

At one of the polling stations, Deputy Secretary General Kocaman gave an interview to the national television channel regarding the activities of the Turkic Council International Observer Mission.
Turkic Council Project Director Farid Damirli and Research Expert Dastan Almen, Senior Expert from International Turkic Academy Timur Kozyrev and Research Assistant from Social Sciences University of Ankara Ömer Naim Küçük accompanied the Deputy Secretary General Kocaman during the election observation mission in the city of Osh.
