They were informed about foreign relations of the TBMM and had a lecture on the “Role of Parliaments in Today’s Public Diplomacy” given by Mr. Cemalettin Tüney, Head of Foreign Relations and Protocol Department of the TBMM. He shed light on advantages and disadvantages of parliamentary diplomacy in international relations and answered the questions of the participants.
Prior to their visit to the TBMM, the diplomats had Kazakh language course for participants from Azerbaijan and Turkey and Turkish language course for the diplomats from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, as well as a lecture by Mr. Gökhan Turan, Deputy Director General for Central Asia and Caucasia of the MFA of Turkey, on Development and Dynamics in the Central Asia, South Caucasus and Turkey.
