2015 OSCE Asian Conference on the Changing Global Security Environment and Visions of Multilateral Security Co-operation in Asia was held on 1-2 June in Seoul.
Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea Yun Byung-se, Swiss Foreign Minister Didier Burkhalter, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand Tanasak Patimapragorn, Ambassador Vuk Žugić from the Serbian OSCE Chairmanship and OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier opened the 2015 OSCE Asian Conference on 1 June in Seoul.
The Conference was focused on the three dimensions of security, with an emphasis on the changing global security environment and multilateral security cooperation. The Conference provided opportunities for the sharing of views and experiences between OSCE participating States and Asian Partners in view of identifying avenues for concrete cooperation and exchanges of best practices.
OSCE participating States, Partners for Co-operation, representatives of OSCE Institutions and International organizations, as well as Heads of Diplomatic Missions, accredited in Seoul were present at the Conference.
Turkic Council was represented by Project Director Mr. Yedil Myrzakhanov, who contributed to the disscussions by explaining the Turkic Council’s view on regional security issues.
