The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey hosted The Asia Anew Workshop on 26 December 2019 in Ankara.
The meeting was inaugurated with the welcoming speech of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, H.E.Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and was participated by the major experts and academicians from Turkey on international relations and Asia politics.
Referring to Turkey’s profound historical and lasting ties with Asia, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu underlined the central importance of this rising region in the world and stated that as part of Turkey’s enterprising and humanitarian foreign policy vision ‘Asia Anew initiative’ will position Turkey in the right place in the Asian age.
Participating in the Workshop, Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman shared information on the activities and projects being carried out by the Turkic Council as well as the role that the Council can play to support this new initiative of Member State Turkey entitled Asia Anew.
