Turkic Council Project Director Zhyldyz Uzakova attended the 6th Meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)/Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) Private Sector Tourism Forum on 8 March 2018 in Istanbul.

Envisaged as a multi-part presentation forum, the event held under the title “Cultural Heritage as a Tool for Sustainable Tourism in the OIC Countries” constituted of experts coming from various institutions such as Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TURSAB), Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) and Research Center For Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA) who discussed cultural heritage and touristic potential of the Islamic countries including the Turkic Council Member States

Project Director Uzakova, who represented the Secretariat at the event, made a presentation on the Turkic Council Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package at the forum.
