Turkic Council Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov attended the 34th Meeting of
the Permanent Council of Culture Ministers of TURKSOY.
Turkic Council Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov participated in the 34th Meeting of the Permanent Council of Culture Ministers of TURKSOY that was held on 1 December 2016 in Azerbaijan’s Sheki city.
In his speech at the meeting, Secretary General Hasanov said that the “Cultural Capital of Turkic World” initiative of TURKSOY played a significant role in promoting the cultural and artistic elements of the Turkic people to the world. He also noted that this effort was instrumental in increasing the awareness towards the commonalities among our peoples.
Continuing his speech, Secretary General Hasanov expressed that the Turkic Council would continue to extend its support to its sister organization TURKSOY.
In his address, the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Ebulfez Garayev emphasized the rising image of the Turkic Council, which serves as the highest cooperative body among the Turkic Speaking States. The ongoing activities of the Council carried out at a high pace leads to the increase of the awareness to the Turkic countries and Turkic culture on an international arena.
In addition to Ministers and Vice Ministers of Culture coming from TURKSOY member states, the Sheki Governor Elhan Usubov and Governor of Kazakhstan’s Turkestan city Alimbek Oserbayev were among the other honorable guests who attended the meeting that is hosted by the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Ebulfez Garayev and TURKSOY Secretary General Düsen Kaseinov.
The participant Ministers and Vice Ministers signed the final declaration reflecting the decisions taken at the meeting. A joint press conference was held after the meeting.
Secretary General Hasanov also held some bilateral contacts and talks within the scope of the meeting.
Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman, Project Director Ali Çiviler and Finance and Administration Assistant Manager Araz Salmanov accompanied Secretary General Hasanov at the meeting.
