Turkic Council Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov attended the closing ceremony of the Astana Economic Forum taken place on 16 June 2017 in Astana with the participation of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan HE Nursultan Nazarbayev.
President Nazarbayev, first, took part in a family photo with high-level participants of the Astana Economic Forum taking place right before the closing ceremony, and then addressed the participants of the forum.
In his speech, President Nazarbayev stressed the point to which the Astana Economic Forum came in the last decade and expressed appreciation that forum became an open platform contributing to sustainable development and economic development and where all sorts of topics may be discussed. President Nazarbayev also talked about the revival of Silk Road and the importance of energy and information technology issues in the global economy.
In the course of the closing ceremony, Secretary General Hasanov, who is following the Astana Economic Forum for two days, had bılateral contacts with several officials with whom he could not meet previously.
During the Astana Economic Forum, Secretary General Hasanov was accompanied by the Project Director of the Turkic Council Assan Mazhitov and Ali Civiler , Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul and Deputy Director of Financial and Administrative Affairs Araz Salmanov.
