Turkic Council Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov visited 11th President of the Republic of Turkey Abdullah Gül on 19 April 2016 in his office.
At the meeting, Secreatary General Hasanov gave information regarding the present position of Turkic Council Secretariat to the 11th President Abdullah Gül, who witnessed to the foundation of Turkic Council through his signature on 2009 Nakhcivan Agreement, presented more information about the developing relations of the Turkic Council with other international organizations and the increasing activities in the fields of transport, economy, customs, youth and sports as well as the work plan in the new areas in the coming period and conveyed his thanks for his kind acceptance.
Additionally, Secretary General Hasanov invited 11th President Gül to the 3rd Training Programme of the Turkic Council Junior Diplomats which will be hosted by the Republic of Kazakhstan this year and said that they would be honored with his participation if it complies with his schedule.
11th President Abdullah Gül expressed his gratitude for the visit of the Secretary General Hasanov, welcomed the developing activities of the Turkic Council, underlined the growing importance of the Turkic Council’s work as well as indicated his confidence in the Turkic Council to fulfill its responsibilities with its dynamic operation. He added that if appropriate he would be participating in the 3rd Training Programme of the Turkic Council Junior Diplomats.
Secretary General Hasanov presented the 2015 Activity Report of the Turkic Council at the end of the meeting.
Turkic Council Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul accompanied to the Secretary General at the meeting.
