The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Yerzhan Kh. Kazykhanov, who was in Istanbul on the occasion of the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC) Executive Committee Emergency Meeting, met with the Secretary General of the Turkic Council, Halil Akinci on August 17, 2011. A variety of  activities conducted by the Turkic Council as well as the preparations and the agenda of the 1st Summit Meeting of the Turkic Council due to take place in Almaty in October 2011 were disscussed during the meeting.
