Delegations of the Turkic Council Sister Ports and Secretariat paid a field visit to Samsun Port on the margins of the Fourth Meeting of Sister Ports of the Turkic Council held on 6 September in Samsun, Turkey.
Samsun Port representatives shared information on capacities of the Port, the biggest intermodal port of Turkey in the Black Sea region with railway connection, where loading, unloading and other transport services can be provided on the railway ramp of 300 meters and railway line about 10 km within the Port.
Parties visited the Port’s facilities, observed some boarding/discharging of the ships, and exchanged their experience on the cargo, ship and Ro-Ro services and other technical issues.
