Turkic Council welcomes the opening of the branch of University of Economics and Technology of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) in Tashkent that was established as part of the cooperation agreement signed between TOBB and Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The university will start its first term on September 14, 2020 with two undergraduate programs on E-Commerce & Technology Management and International Business & Entrepreneurship.
We consider this achievement as one of the gratifying outcomes of both closer relations among the Member States of the Turkic Council in recent years, which resulted in the membership of Uzbekistan in the Organization and the partnership established among the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Member States in the framework of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI).
Being an effective platform for fruitful cooperation, Turkic Council attaches great importance to developing entrepreneurship in its region and therefore concentrates its efforts to the establishment of the Turkic Investment Fund with the aim of fostering entrepreneurship, growth, job creation, research and innovation, as well as socioeconomic development in the Member States.
With this understanding, as the Turkic Council, we are confident that the undergraduate programs of TOBB ETÜ Tashkent would greatly contribute to the executive development of the young population as well as the advancement of the entrepreneurship and digital economy in Uzbekistan.
