The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) met with H.E. Mr. Mammethan Chakyev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, on 6 August 2025 on the margins of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3) in Avaza, Turkmenistan.

The parties stressed on strengthening regional cooperation in the fields of transport, logistics, and transit. 

During the meeting, Secretary General and Deputy Chairman dicussed the ongoing OTS initiatives, including e-Permit system, the Alliance of Logistics Centers and Cargo Carriers, and the Sister Ports Process.

Both sides agreed to maintain technical consultations to further advance cooperation in these areas.

In the framework of his visit, the Secretary General also visited the Turkmenbashi International Seaport.
