Today I am proud to say that the 4th World Nomad Games was held with grandiose success in İznik, Bursa on 29 September-2 October 2022 with the participation of thousands of athletes representing various countries.
During the extraordinary Opening Ceremony of the Games, it was especially remarkable to see the contributions of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) which brought the colors of the Turkic World together in a spectacular show arrangement.
More than 1400 artists including children from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Türkiye and Tuva (RF) performed traditional and artistic shows representing the common cultural heritage in great harmony with the spiritual consciousness and historical memory of the Turkic peoples.
It was inspiring to witness choreographies orchestrated by TURKSOY artists with the themes of “Alem, Evren and Kün”, “Turks and Horse”, “Nomad Games”, “Famous Personalities of the Turkic World”, “History of Türkiye” and “Turkic World” which were continued with light and dance performances.
I was also grateful to see the excellent reflection of our rich culture in the Closing Ceremony which was highly appreciated by the audience who came to Iznik to watch the Games.
Overall, both the opening and closing ceremonies of the Games once again proved that TURKSOY plays an indispensable role in the preservation and worldwide promotion of the cultural and historical heritage of Turkic peoples.
Taking this opportunity, I extend my sincere congratulations and deep appreciation to the Secretary General of TURKSOY H.E. Sultan Raev and his team, especially Art Director Arman Nurmakhamatuly for the excellent demonstration of the depth and richness of the Turkic culture.
