Secretary General of the OTS received the Letter of Credentials from Permanent Representative of the Republic of Türkiye to the OTS.

On 2 October 2025, at the Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Istanbul, H.E. Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the OTS received the Letter of Credentials from H.E. Ufuk Ekici, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Türkiye to the OTS.

During the meeting, Secretary General Omuraliev welcomed Ambassador Ekici, and the sides held a productive exchange on the current priorities, ongoing agenda and key initiatives of the OTS. The Secretary General underscored the significance of the appointment of Permanent Representatives as a milestone for the institutional development of the OTS, in line with the provisions of the Nakhchivan Agreement. He emphasized that this mechanism will strengthen coordination, deepen multilateral cooperation, and enhance the monitoring and implementation of joint initiatives among Member States.

Ambassador Ekici highlighted that Türkiye's ties to the region are deeply rooted. He also reaffirmed Türkiye's commitment to strengthening cooperation and relations among the Turkic nations, with whom it shares a common vision.

Furthermore, talks addressed the agenda and planned initiatives for the 12th Summit of the OTS to be held on 6-7 October 2025 in Gabala, Azerbaijan.
