The "Boysun Bahori" International Folklore Festival is set to be organized in Surkhandarya, Uzbekistan between 1-7 May 2024.
This colorful program promises a rich tapestry of cultural delights. The festival aims to promote tourism by featuring captivating performances by folklore ethnographic teams, exhilarating national sports games, a myriad of diverse shows, and mesmerizing concert programs representing numerous countries. Over 200 representatives from folklore groups across Uzbekistan will also participate in this event, adorned in traditional costumes and echoing the melodies of the past.
All are cordially invited, both locals and international guests, to participate in the splendor of this festival.
Notably, nestled in the heart of the Surkhandarya region, the enchanting Boysun stands as a testament to cultural heritage. Recognized by UNESCO as a masterpiece of the "Oral and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity," Baysun was included in the UNESCO Representative List of "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity" in 2008.
