On 9 October 2025, Dr. Mirvokhid Azimov, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), held a meeting in Istanbul with delegations from the Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (MÜSİAD) and the International Freight Forwarders Association (UND).

The MÜSİAD delegation was led by Mr. Mehmet Metin, Chairman of the Logistics Sector Board, while the UND delegation was headed by Mr. Fatih Şener, Vice President of the Association.

The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in the field of transport and logistics among OTS Member States. In particular, the parties emphasized the importance of establishing a sustainable and interconnected transport system across the Turkic world, which would facilitate greater regional integration and economic development.

During the meeting, Dr. Azimov extended an official invitation to both organizations to participate in the International Forum on Multimodal Transport, scheduled to take place in Tashkent on 12 November 2025.
